I am Geleta Parker, an author and International speaker.
Geleta Parker is a serial entrepreneur, mentor, facilitator, minister, and international speaker. I am the author of Beautifully Broken & Catch and Release: Seeds of Deception. I recently joined forces with The FAR Initiative located in New Providence, The Bahamas where I serve as a mentor to at-risk children. I use my experiences as a platform to serve as both a mentor and life coach for at-risk and abused women and children.
Geleta “Gigi” Parker
I am affectionately called “Gigi” which means “God is gracious”. I am recognized for sharing my faith and my fabulous childhood. With flare and transparency in life, I am well-known as an international speaker, author, poet laureate, teacher, and encourager who brings a message of hope. I was born and raised in the beautiful Bahamas, the place where God lives. I currently live in the metropolitan area of Atlanta, Georgia more specifically in a town called Dallas. I am the wife of a United States soldier and we are the parents of three children and currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science. As a substitute teacher for Cobb County schools, I strive hard to bridge gaps by contributing to my community and pouring into the lives of children and their families. I truly love to serve.
In the fall of 2019, the Founder and Executive Director of Sonflower Ministries, Mary Lucy Holliday, and I co-chaired a charitable outreach we called “The Bahamas Blessing Project.” We sponsored seven women who had been severely affected by the catastrophic devastation of Hurricane Dorian. These women were given full scholarships, including airfare and all expenses paid, to attend Retreat #52 “Focus on His Love”. This life-changing Christian retreat was held in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Cleveland, Georgia where I was also the keynote speaker sharing biblical truths from my book “Beautifully Broken.” My other publication is a memoir titled Catch and Release: Seeds of Deception. I am very passionate about serving my country, and my community as well as sharing my stories as the gift that keeps on giving.
